Absorb the love

I write a piece of poetry
To make your heart love again
I try to create a magic with words
So that I live in your arms forever

I want you to believe
I am trustworthy and yours
I am the one who is created
To complete and complement you

I venture with colors of nature
In my attempt to paint a moment of us
For I would be filled with a perpetual joy
To see us in an eternal embrace

Me and you will float in the universe
In clouds, air and deep oceans
Be in my mind, heart and in soul
Absorb the love which is yours.

The Yearning

Have a desire to be close to you once again

to say to you, what I never said before

to be lost in your tight embrace

Oh How I have longed to be there!

 

I want to get old with you,

Be by your side, when your hair turns grey

Want to rest my head on your shoulder

Oh how vulnerable I am without you!

 

I want you to be a part of my future

When I am old and my skin has wrinkled

my eyes might fail to give me a proper sight

would you show me what’s left of the world?

 

I may not understand your soft whispers

But your eyes will always suffice

Telling me all the secrets of your heart

Revealing onto me even what you leave unsaid

 

I want to sing my love song when you are 100

Would you still feel my love on that day?

I will be there for you, even after death

Would you prefer your final sleep next to my grave?

Jahan hum juda huay (Ghazal)

जहाँ से हम जुदा हुए

कभी- कभी इस दिल में ऐसी भी खुआईश होती है,
देखे हम फिर से आकर क्या आँखो से बारिश होती है,
वैसी ही शाम होती है और वैसी ही सुबह होती है।
कभी- कभी इस दिल में ऐसी भी खुआईश होती है,


यू तो अब भी सारे पंछी वैसे ही चहचहाते होगें,
यू तो अब भी सारे उस गुलिस्ताँ में वैसे ही गाते होंगे,
यू तो अब भी धूप वहाँ, वैसे ही निकलती होगी,
यू तो अब भी शाम वहाँ, उसी तरह ढलती होगी,
कभी- कभी......

क्या दिलचस्प है वहाँ, छांव को तलाशना अब भी,
क्या दिलचस्प है वहाँ बादल का बरसना अब भी,
याद है मुझे तेरा छतरी को छोड़ चले जाना,
याद है मुझे तेरा रूठकर फिर से यू मुस्कुराना,
कभी- कभी....

क्या काफ़ी पीते हुए, याद मेरी आती तुमको,
क्या बारिश की बूदंे याद कुछ दिलाती तुमको,
क्या गुज़रे हुए लमहों की कोई, याद भी सताती तुमको,
क्या फ़ुरसत में सोच तेरी, मेरी तरफ़ लाती तुमको,
कभी- कभी....

सोचा है तुमने कभी, खोया क्या यू ज़िंदगी में,
सोचा है तुमने कभी, कोई रोया था यू ज़िंदगी में,
सोचा है तुमने कभी, क्या बोया था यू ज़िंदगी में,
और ये भी सोचा की प्यार हुआ था क्यों ज़िंदगी में,
कभी- कभी....

सोचा है तुमने कभी के याद कोई करता है रोज़,
सोचा है तुमने कभी, जीता और मरता है कोई हर रोज़।
वक़त की दौड़ में, जाने कितने मंज़र खो गए,
जो कभी अपने थे, वो कैसे पराए हो गए।
कभी- कभी......

मैंने बड़ी कोशिश की, तुममें छोड़ बढ़ जाने की,
मैंने ये भी कोशिश की, नाम तेरा भूलाने की,
जिस्म मेरा दूर आ गया पर रूह आज भी अटकी वहीं,
वो तेरी गलियों में ही जी और वहीं भटकती है आज भी,
कभी- कभी....

वक़त की दौड़ में क्या शहर आज भी वैसा है,
कोई तो आकर बताए, जो छूटा था अब कैसा है?
क्या शहर वहीं पे ठहरा है, जहाँ से हम जुदा हुए।
क्या वक़त वहीं रूका है, जहाँ से दो दिल फ़ना हुए।

Jahaan se hum juda huay

Kabhi kabhi is dil mein aisi bhi khwaahish hoti hai,
Dekhein hum fir se aakar kya ankhon se baarish hoti hai,
Vaisi hi shaam hoti hain aur vaisi hi subeh hoti hai.
Kabhi kabhi is dil mein aisi bhi khwaahish hoti hai

Yoon to ab bhi saare panchhi vaise he chehchaate honge
Yoon to ab bhi uss gulistaa me vaise he gaate honge
Yoon to ab bhi dhoop wahaan vaise he nikalti hogi,
Yoon to ab bhi shaam wahaan ussi tarah dhalti hogi,
Kabhi kabhi.....

 

Kya dilchasp hai wahaan chhanv ko talasna ab bhi,
Kya dilchasp hai wahaan baadal ka barasna ab bhi,
Yaad hai mujhe tera chhatri ko chhor chale jaana,
Yaad hai mujhe tera rooth ke fir houle se yoon muskaana
Kabhi kabhi....

 

Kya coffee ki petay huay, yaad meri aati tumko,
Kya baarish ki boondein yaad kuchh dilaati tumko,
Kya guzre hue lamhon ki koi yaad bhi sataati tumko,
Kya fursat mein soch teri, meri taraf laati tumko
Kabhi kabhi....

Socha hai tumne kabhi, khoya kya yoon zindagi mein,
Socha hai tumne kabhi, koi roya tha yoon zindagi mein,
Socha hai tumne kabhi, kya boya tha yoon zindagi mein,
Aur yeh bhi socha ki pyaar hoya tha kyoon zindagi mein,
Kabhi kabhi....

 

Socha hai tumne kabhi ke yaad koi karta hai roz,
Socha hai tumne kabhi, jeeta aur marta hai koi har roz,
Waqt ki is dour mein, janay kitne manzar kho gaye,
Jo kabhi apne se thay, voh kaise paraaye ho gaye.
Kabhi kabhi....

Maine bari koshish ki, tumhein chhor bardh jaane ki,
Maine yeh bhi koshish ki, naam tera bhulaane ki,
Jism mera door aa gaya par rooh aaj bhi atki wahee,
Woh teeyri galiyon mein he jee aur wahin bhatkti hai aaj bhi,
Kabhi kabhi....

 

Waqt ki dour mein kya shahar aaj bhi waisa hai,
Koi to aakar bataaye, jo chuta tha aab kaisa hai?
Kya shahar wahin pe thehra hai, jahaan se hum juda huay,
Kya waqt wahin ruka hai, jahaan se do dil fanaa huay.
